1. Acceptance of These Terms

By registering for, accessing, or playing Shardgate you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy and Cookie policies.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not create an account or use the game.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secret and for everything that happens under your account. Do not share your account, sell it, or let another person play on it.

One person should not control multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage. Each account must belong to a single real person who meets our minimum age requirement.

3. Code of Conduct

Play fair and treat other adventurers with respect. Harassment, hate speech, threats, impersonation, scams, and spam are not tolerated in chat, names, or any player-created content.

Do not post real-world personal information about yourself or others, and do not use the game to advertise, solicit, or distribute content unrelated to Shardgate.

4. Virtual Items, Currency & Purchases

Lesser Essence, items, gear, and other in-game assets are licensed to you for use inside Shardgate. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be redeemed, sold, or traded for real money outside the game.

Any optional purchases support development of the game. Unless required by law, purchases are final and non-refundable. We may add, change, or retire virtual items at any time.

5. Cheating, Automation & Exploits

Bots, scripts, macros, automated play, and third-party tools that interact with the game on your behalf are forbidden. Skill and time invested should be your own.

If you discover a bug or exploit, report it instead of abusing it. Deliberately abusing bugs, duplicating items, or manipulating game systems may result in rollback of progress and account action.

6. Suspension & Termination

We may warn, suspend, or permanently close any account that breaks these Terms, harms other players, or threatens the stability or security of the game.

You may stop playing and request deletion of your account at any time. Some records may be retained where required for legal or anti-abuse reasons, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

Shardgate, including its world, lore, art, code, names, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable license to play the game for your own enjoyment.

You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or create derivative works from the game except where the law expressly permits it.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Shardgate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work hard to keep the realm online and your progress safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost progress, lost virtual items, or other indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the game.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the game evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you in-game or by email.

Continuing to play after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
